Homecoming Alumni Tailgate Competition

Take part in one of Penn State’s newest, up and coming traditions! Enter your tailgate into the annual Homecoming Alumni Tailgate Competition. The Competition takes place before the Homecoming game, this year against Minnesota on October 17, 2009 at 3:30pm. Student judges, including Penn State cheerleaders, Blue Band members, and Penn State athletes, will be around to all participating tailgates to determine winners in several categories. This year’s categories include Best Food, Best Pride & Spirit, and for the first time, one tailgate will be crowned The Official Best Tailgate at Penn State. Past winners have had everything at their tailgates from pizza ovens to live bands! Come sign in at the Alumni Tent on game day between 10 and 11am, and wow the judges when they stop by your tailgate! Rules

Contestants must arrive at their spot by 11 AM and judging will begin at 11:30 AM.
A cell phone number will be required for entry so that contestants can be found during the judging process.
Judges will spend about 5 minutes at each competitor's tailgate and will judge on three categories: Best Spirit, Best Food and Best Decorations. There will be one winner for each category.
Judges will notify winners around 2 PM and will deliver prizes to each tailgate.
