Parade Regulations

  • Viewers can sit anywhere along the parade route in the grass or on the sidewalks as long as no part of themselves or their belongings are in the street or crossing any barriers provided by Homecoming Security.
  • Starting at 9:00am students, alumni, and community members may reserve spots for the parade in grass areas; however, until 5:00pm they may not be blocking any of the sidewalk areas.
  • Until 5:00 pm Homecoming Security, University Park Police, and State College Police will be clearing the sidewalks of all people that may be blocking them.
  • From 5:00pm on, spectators may place blankets, chairs, and persons anywhere along the parade route as long as they abide by the previously stated conditions.
  • The roads on campus involved in the parade will be closed at 5:40pm and the roads downtown involved in the parade will be closed at 5:45pm.
