Technology Director
Hello, my name is Matthew Maley and I am the 2009 Homecoming Technology Director. I'm a senior from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania majoring in Information Sciences and Technology and minoring in Security and Risk Analysis with plans for graduating in Fall '09. My position involves managing the online presence of Homecoming through the this website, updating the HOOD (Homecoming Online Organizational Database), organizing the webcast and videography team, and helping to facilitate the use of technology to improve the effectiveness of the other Homecoming committees.
This is my first year being directly involved with the events of Homecoming even though I've enjoyed them ever since I was a child. Having a dad and brothers who are PSU alums basically meant i was brought up on everything Penn State, especially football, and I always loved all the events that make Penn State special. Homecoming is one of those events. I'm really looking forward to gaining a greater appreciation for it while helping to move it toward the future.
Other than homecoming, I have been involved with THON (the IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon) for the last two years as a Technology Captain. During that time I have been heavily involved in rebuilding the THONstore and played a major roll in the building of the newly released THON website, www.thon.org.
