Last Updated: August 26, 2007 5:00PM
- Once you have been notified via email that you were nominated for the 2007 Homecoming Court, you are then eligible to apply for the 2007 Homecoming Court.
- The application will be available from Tuesday, August 27, 2007 through Wednesday, September 5, 2007. All applications will be due in King and Queen Overall Mary Kate DeCoursey’s mailbox in 218 HUB by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2007. In addition to your completed application, please include your $20 application fee in a sealed envelope with your name clearly printed on the front. Both cash and checks will be accepted, however, money orders and/or checks are highly recommended. Please write checks out to "Homecoming" with the memo/note stating "KQ Application Fee."
- All completed applications will then be scored based on a pre-established scoring rubric by a processing panel over the following week. After all applications are scored, the top ten scoring females and top ten scoring males will be notified via phone of their advancement to the semi-finalist round. Those who do not advance to the semi-finalist round will also be notified via phone.
- The 20 semi-finalists will then have to make an appointment with King and Queen Overall Chairperson Mary Kate DeCoursey or a designated King and Queen Homecoming Captain to set a time for an interview on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Usually the interview sessions are no longer than 15 minutes. They will be held at the Hintz Family Alumni Center in the University House. The judge’s panel consists of a maximum of five interviewers from the Penn State community; number of judges may change.
