Mission

The mission of Penn State Homecoming is to celebrate tradition and instill pride in all members of the Penn State family through active engagement of students, alumni, faculty and staff across the community.

Vision

We believe that the traditional sense of a homecoming celebration encompassing a parade and football game has evolved, and strive to set a new standard for homecoming celebrations.. Penn State Homecoming organizes a number of exciting events in the spring and fall semesters culminating with the events of Homecoming Week.

Our Legacy

Homecoming Weekend is one of the most exciting times for alumni to return to Penn State. Alumni involvement is a very integral part to Penn State Homecoming. This section of the website will showcase our Grand Marshal and Honorary Grand Marshal, as well as the When I Was a Lion blog. Our Alumni Tailgate Competition registration form can be found here as well.

From Penn State Alumni Association

Mission

The mission of the Alumni Association is to connect alumni to the University and to each other, to provide valued services to members, and to support the University's mission of teaching, research, and service.

Today, that mission is brought to life through events and programs such as:

City Lights educational and cultural programs in five major East Coast cities;

pep rallies at all away football games;

Huddle with the Faculty lectures before all home football games;

reunion weekends;

Homecoming events, and so much more.

The mission is also embodied in the Alumni Association's commitment to recognize outstanding alumni and alumni volunteers through its award programs.
