Parade Info

Date: November 10, 2017

Departure: 6:00 PM

The annual Homecoming Parade unites students, alumni, faculty, and staff members across the Penn State community through a procession down the University Park Campus and downtown State College area. Each year we welcome Alumni Chapters that travel from all across the country to attend or walk in the Parade. Spectators line up along College Avenue and throughout the streets on campus to watch students demonstrate Penn State pride by walking along the Parade route or showing their elaborate float designs for the Float Competition. Spectators are welcome to sit along the sidewalks and grass areas as designated by Security. The Homecoming Grand Marshal and the Honorary Grand Marshal will ride in convertibles among members of the Student and Faculty Courts and of the Penn State community. We will host three merchandise sales along the Parade route: in front of East Halls, next to McElwain Hall, and on College Avenue in front of Old Main. The Parade will officially step off in front of the IM Building at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 10, 2017. Roads will close at 5:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

The Homecoming Parade will be livestreamed here, courtesy of the College of Communications at Penn State
